Fund Overview

With just under three months remaining in the current fiscal year, the National Fund goal currently stands at $33M, requiring about $15M in unrestricted contributions to reach the $48 million goal which will assist to meet our Community’s domestic, continental, and international obligations and allow us to rise with joy and determination to win the goals of the Nine-Year Plan, bringing about the spiritual and material progress envisioned by Bahá'u'lláh. Contributing to the Fund remains a sacred bounty and blessing for each of us.

Below is one of the wonderful stories we have received from the community:

“Dear Baha’i treasurer office,

I am delighted to share the uplifting news of our recent Fund Raising event, which surpassed all expectations in the spirit of love and music.

Our community came together with 100% participation, allowing us to exceed our initial goal of $19,000 and raise an incredible $40,150!

The event was not just a financial success but also a deeply Spiritual and joyous occasion that reflected the unity and generosity within our community.

We are grateful for the support and contributions that made this achievement possible.”


Gifts In Honor or In Memory 

We have the privilege of showing our love for Bahá’u’lláh through our contributions to the Funds of the Faith. Additionally, we can commemorate the memory of loved ones and/or give special gifts of love during Ayyam-i-Ha, Naw-Rúz, or the period of the Fast in honor of family members and friends through the In Honor or the In Memory Program. In a letter written on behalf of the Guardian, dated December 10, 1952, we were reminded, “The Master has told us that gifts and good deeds done in memory of those who have passed on, are most helpful to the development of their souls in the realms beyond…”

Planned Giving Options

Did you know that the Bahá’í.us website has a Planned Giving Resource page? It can serve as a great tool for those who wish to learn about the Planned Giving options available for giving to the Fund. These include contributing through an IRA Charitable Rollover, a Donor Advised Fund, or even donating appreciated stock/securities to name a few. On the page you will find information about the tax benefits and how to initiate each option if one chooses.

Audit

Annual Audits for fiscal year ended on April 30, 2023 are due on January 31, 2024. If your Assembly needs to request an extension, please send an email request with the extended date of submission to finance@usbnc.org.

Certificates of Insurance

As you begin to plan upcoming Ayyam-i-Ha and Naw-Rúz celebrations, we kindly remind you to complete and submit the Request for Certificate of Insurance form found in the Downloadable Documents section of the baha’i.us website to secure coverage for your events. All instructions and email address for submission are attached on the second page of the form.
