As the nation commemorates the birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on January 15, we are reminded of one of the key components of what he referred to as the ‘Beloved Community’ - a life of service.
We are living a life of service as we attend devotions, support children’s classes, and participate in teaching and development activities in order to release “the Faith’s society-building power” in “ever-greater measures.” We are also making adjustments and sacrifices on a daily and ongoing basis to provide the material resources necessary for the growth and development of this Mighty Cause.
As of January 1, with only four months remaining in the current fiscal year, over $18M in contributions were still needed in order to meet the fund goal for the year. The American Bahá’í Community, the spiritual descendants of the Dawnbreakers, have continued to arise and with a loving spirit of sacrifice and fervent generosity, to support the Institution of the Fund, the LifeBlood of this precious Faith. We are confident that they will continue to do so.
We would love to hear your stories – from your family, your community, your region – of how you have rallied to be of service to the Institution of the Fund. Please email us at: bahaitreasurersoffice@usbnc.org
