Feast of Sulṭán/Sovereignty
Bahá’í National Fund Update
$30.4M
As of January 14, 2026
The Universal House of Justice concluded its December 31, 2025 letter to the Counselors with the following words:
"Looking back over one’s life, there can be no greater joy and comfort than to know that it was spent in acute awareness of the divine remedy, that no effort was spared to proffer that remedy to receptive souls, and that during those fleeting years when opportunity was at hand, even in the midst of difficulties, every chance was seized to respond to humanity’s intense need..."
As we observe the continued growth and vitality of society-building activities unfolding across the country, we are reminded of the profound joy that comes from responding, with devotion and resolve, to humanity’s deepest needs. These efforts, rooted in love, learning, and service, require sustained material resources.
With the thirteenth Bahá'í month coming to an end and six Bahá’í months remaining in this fiscal year, contributions are currently 10.7% over last year at this time. This trend will need to steadily continue as we currently need $21.6 million to meet the $52 million National Fund goal by April 30, 2026. Each contribution, offered with sincerity and faith, represents a conscious effort to seize the opportunities before us and to support the advancement of this vital work.
How might we, as Champion Builders of the World Order of Bahá’u’lláh, continue to arise together with renewed ardor and unity, ensuring that these society-building endeavors are sustained and advanced in 'ever greater measures'?
For further community consultation:
"Whatever form a person’s service takes, it emerges from the unique interaction between, on the one hand, the needs of the Faith and, on the other, the possibilities afforded by the circumstances of each individual and the sacrifices that he or she chooses to make."
- Universal House of Justice, December 31, 2025, Message to Conference of Continental Counselors
As Bahá’ís, we have the privilege of having a direct relationship with each of the senior funds of the Faith, while at the same time, also maintaining a direct focus on continually supporting the National Fund. Unrestricted (not earmarked) contributions towards the National Fund goal allow for flexibility in supporting the many activities of the Faith.
Reflecting on contributions to the Fund...
In the message shared for the Feast of the Qawl, the National Spiritual Assembly offered a glimpse of “the range and depth of what your sacrificial contributions make possible.” Truly, each effort, each contribution, and each prayer offered in support of the Fund is helping to advance the world that Bahá’u’lláh has envisioned for humanity. The letter also outlined some of the many vital efforts that are supported by the National Fund, including supporting the indispensable work of the Counselors and their Auxiliaries, funding of the activities surrounding the Bahá’í House of Worship, including the teaching and educational programs conducted on its campus, as well as its operation, maintenance, and upkeep that required several million dollars annually. Over a quarter of a million people visit this "Silent Teacher" each year. The National Fund also supports the thirteen Regional Bahá’í Councils and their regional training institutes and much much more... To review the full letter, please click here.

Planned Giving
A Thoughtful Act of Service
“The progress of man's spirit in the divine world, after the severance of its connection with the body of dust, is through the bounty and grace of the Lord alone, or through the intercession and the sincere prayers of other human souls, or through the charities and important good works which are performed in its name.”
— ‘Abdu'l-Bahá, Some Answered Questions, p. 240
Planned giving offers a simple way to extend our support for the Cause into the future. By naming the National Spiritual Assembly as a beneficiary on an account or including a bequest in a will or trust, believers can help ensure enduring resources for the work of the Faith.
