Bahá’í National Fund Update

$32.6M

As of February 2, 2026

What a joy and bounty to be able to participate together in meeting the National Fund Goal - whether through offering the Fund prayer or reflecting on the concept of sacrifice and deciding how to make extra contributions during the remaining months of this fiscal year. All our efforts become a thread in a collective endeavor that binds us together in purpose and love.

We are approximately $19.4 million short of meeting the $52 million goal by April 30th, 2026. We are confident that together - Champion Builders of the World Order of Bahá’u’lláh - we can rise to achieve the goal and continue to support the ever-expanding efforts of communities, institutions, and individuals to put the Nine Year Plan into effect. As the Universal House of Justice recently reminded us, "Bright horizons beckon."

As Bahá’ís, we have the privilege of maintaining a direct relationship with each of the senior funds of the Faith while continually supporting the National Fund. Unrestricted (not earmarked) contributions towards the National Fund goal allow for flexibility in supporting the many activities of the Faith.

Fundraising Stories...

Below is a beautiful story recently shared with us by the Local Spiritual Assembly of Little Elm:

Our Social Outreach Committee coordinated & organized a paint event in the theme of "Unity in Colors" in October. The committee donated all the supplies, food & beverage for the event. Participants enjoyed the two hours of fellowship and creativity. Attached is a photo of the community members who participated. Their efforts resulted in contributions for the National Fund.

Planned Giving

“He, verily, shall recompense the charitable, and doubly repay them for what they have bestowed.“

- Bahá’u’lláh

What is Planned Giving?

Planned giving is simply one way of including the National Spiritual Assembly in our plans, whether through gifts made during one’s lifetime or through provisions for the future.

Examples include giving appreciated assets such as stock, making grants through a donor-advised fund, using retirement-related options, or leaving a gift in a will or estate plan while meeting personal financial needs.

Those who feel inspired to learn more are encouraged to explore these options in a spirit of thoughtfulness: bahaitreasurer.us/planned-giving, plannedgiving@usbnc.org, 847-733-3569

“ALL MUST SURGE, BUT THE YOUTH MUST SOAR"

The Universal House of Justice, Ridván 2024

YOUTH CORNER

The Fort Worth Bahá’í community recently gathered for a joyful fundraiser. They shared the following with us:

"Youth played a particularly important role in the success of the fundraiser. With enthusiasm, they volunteered their time to help set up the space before guests arrived, ensuring that everything—from tables to displays—was ready for the evening. Throughout the event, they assisted with logistics and brought energy and cheer to the gathering. Their service for the community was greatly appreciated."

Please read the full story about the Forth Worth Community's fundraiser in the upcoming issue of The American Bahá’í.

We are looking for more submissions from YOUth! Please send us your reflections and stories about the Institution of the Fund or recent youth activities/events. Stories, pictures, and or videos can be sent to bahaitreasurersoffice@usbnc.org.
