The upcoming Nineteen Day Fast offers a sacred period of renewal, inviting us to detach from the material and to cultivate virtues such as generosity, sacrifice, and trust in God. As we consciously turn our hearts toward prayer, reflection, and self-discipline, we become more aware of our capacity to give—not only of our time and energy, but also of our material means—in service to humanity. In this spirit, contributions to the Fund become a natural expression of the inner transformation fostered during the Fast, a joyful act of generosity that supports the advancement of the world envisioned by Bahá’u’lláh.
As of February 26, contributions toward the National Fund Goal had reached $36.9 million. In the weeks ahead, our community can joyfully unite in prayer and sacrifice to raise the remaining $15.1 million and complete this shared endeavor.
As Bahá’ís, we have the privilege of having a direct relationship with each of the senior funds of the Faith, while at the same time, also maintaining a direct focus on continually supporting the National Fund. Unrestricted (not earmarked) contributions towards the National Fund goal allow for flexibility in supporting the many activities of the Faith.

Giving Through Retirement
Planned Giving is a thoughtful way of including the National Spiritual Assembly in your financial plans—an expression of faith, foresight, and commitment to the advancement of the Cause.
One simple example is making a gift through retirement assets, such as an IRA Charitable Rollover. For friends age 70½ or older, this option allows you to direct a gift from your IRA—an easy, tax-wise, and meaningful way to support the work of the Faith while fulfilling required distributions.
