“Homeland”

Dear friends,

We really keep very little these days, generation to generation. I am sharing a picture of a Dutch Bible and some "Blau Delft" dishes from my great-aunts and great-grandmother. They are special to my family because my maternal great-grandparents and their siblings immigrated to America from Friesland, Netherlands in the 1860s. I am sure they missed their homeland and these items came from there. It is important for me to pass these on to my children, if they want them, to remember their heritage and their journeys, and also their Faith, which was what gave them courage and peace.
