Bahá’í National Fund Update

$42.9M

As of April 5, 2026

As of April 5, contributions toward the National Bahá’í Fund Goal had reached a total of $42.9 million, leaving $9.1 million to be raised over the next three weeks to achieve the goal. Together as Champion Builders of the World Order of Bahá’u’lláh, we can arise - through sacrificial generosity, fundraising efforts, prayers, and united action - to raise the approximately $3 million per week needed to achieve the goal set before our community. This calls for the "heights of heroism" referenced in the Nine Year Plan. We can achieve this as the Universal House of Justice reminds us,

"The backbone of the Fund must be the regular contributions of every believer. Even though such contributions may be small... large numbers of small sums combine into a mighty river that can carry along the work of the Cause. - Universal House of Justice

Together, let us add our drops to this mighty river that is the lifeblood of this beloved Cause.

As Bahá’ís, we have the privilege of establishing a direct relationship with each of the senior funds of the Faith, while at the same time, also continually supporting the National Fund. Unrestricted (not earmarked) contributions toward the National Fund goal allow flexibility in supporting the activities and needs of the Nine Year Plan.

Fundraising

Below is a beautiful story shared with us by the Pittsburgh, PA community:

...This past Friday, 2/27, we hosted a line dancing party to celebrate Ayyám-i-Há and raise funds for the National Fund. We decided on line dancing because it's a great way for people to connect through music and movement. As quoted in the invite, "there are no wrong moves, just joy!"

Friends offered fund donations as a party "entry fee" in an amount of their choosing. They were welcome to make donations beforehand (through the Online Contribution System), at the event, or as pledges to donate later. Tech assistance was also available at the party for OCS donations.

It was such a fun night! 15 people attended, and we had a great time learning 4 line dances--the Cupid Shuffle, the Cha-Cha-Slide, the Electric Slide, and the Boots on the Ground Line Dance (fans included!). Many guests shared how wonderful it was to come together, enjoy some refreshments and warm conversation, and learn something new in a joyful environment. The donations were recently tallied, and we were delighted to learn that we raised [$] for the National Fund. All funds should be deposited by the end of this week 💚

Sending all our love and prayers to you for a blessed Fast,

Gifts In Honor or In Memory

We have the privilege of showing our love for Bahá’u’lláh through our contributions to the Funds of the Faith. Additionally, we can commemorate the memory of loved ones and/or give special gifts of love in honor of friends and family members during Naw-Ruz, Ridván, or to celebrate birthdays or special anniversaries through the In Honor / In Memory Program. In a letter written on behalf of the Guardian, dated December 10, 1952, we were reminded, “The Master has told us that gifts and good deeds done in memory of those who have passed on, are most helpful to the development of their souls in the realms beyond…”

The In Memory/In Honor program is available through the Online Contribution System (OCS): https://ocs.bahai.us/ocs or by phone to the Office of the Treasurer at (847) 733-3472

Planned Giving

A Simple and Powerful Way to Serve the Fund

Supporting the Bahá’í Fund can take many forms—one meaningful option is the gift of appreciated stock or other securities. If you have held these assets for more than a year, donating them directly may help you avoid capital gains taxes and also provide a charitable tax benefit.
