Bahá’í National Fund Update

With a heart full of gratitude, the Office of the Treasurer celebrates the love, dedication, and generosity demonstrated by the American Bahá’í Community. The National Fund received contributions totaling $52.1 million toward the $52 million National goal for fiscal year 2025-26. This represents an increase of 19% over the last fiscal year and marks the highest level of contributions to the National Fund in any fiscal year by the American Bahá’í Community.

As the Guardian noted in a letter to a National Spiritual Assembly in 1926:

I have urged them to support consistently and wholeheartedly the very essential and vital institutions of the National Fund and the National Assembly. It must be made clear to them all that continuous support to these twin institutions is the cornerstone of all future achievements.

As we embark on the second phase of the Nine Year Plan, we know that there is tremendous work to be done. We are inspired by the sacrificial and generous giving of the believers who have risen with such love and determination to fulfill their spiritual destiny and set this strong cornerstone for the work toward the betterment of the world.

May Bahá’u’lláh's love and blessings continue to shower upon you in your every effort1

As Bahá’ís, we have the privilege of having a direct relationship with each of the senior funds of the Faith, while maintaining a direct focus on continually supporting the National Fund. Unrestricted (not earmarked) contributions towards the National Fund goal allow for flexibility in supporting the many activities of the Faith.

Planned Giving

A Year of Growth in Planned Giving

Over the past year, Planned Giving has continued to grow as an important source of support for the National Fund, with strong increases in contributions through Donor-Advised Funds, IRA Charitable Rollovers, and gifts of appreciated securities. These developments reflect the friends’ deepening spirit of generosity and thoughtful stewardship, helping strengthen the long-term sustainability and resilience of the Funds of the Faith.

Planned Giving is simply another way of supporting the Fund while also considering one’s personal and family financial goals. The Office of the Treasurer warmly invites anyone interested to explore the various options available and to contact us for more information: bahaitreasurer.us/planned-giving, plannedgiving@usbnc.org, 847-733-3569.

Youth Corner

“Right now, I’m not able to serve as much as I’d truly like. Being a full-time student means constantly juggling classes, responsibilities, and trying to find that steady balance between school and service. It’s not always easy. Still, whenever there’s a larger community or cluster event, like our recent Camp Oneness, I do my best to be there. Working with the junior youth and watching them build what feels like unbreakable bonds is something special. In those moments, I honestly felt like a proud parent. Experiences like that remind me that service doesn’t have to be constant to be meaningful. Even showing up when you can still counts. I’m really looking forward to the opportunities that open up during school breaks so I can give more of my time.”

We are looking for more submissions from YOUth! Please send us your reflections and stories about the Institution of the Fund or recent youth activities/events. Stories, pictures, and or videos can be sent to bahaitreasurersoffice@usbnc.org.
