Bahá’í National Fund Update
As of August 1st, $8.9M has been contributed towards the Bahá’í National Fund goal of $50M (For fiscal year 2024-25).
Unrestricted (not earmarked) contributions towards the National Fund goal allow for flexibility in supporting the many activities of the Faith. Universal Participation will be the key to achieving this victory.
New Enhancements to the Online Contribution System
We are excited to announce a new enhancement to the Online Contribution System (OCS). Starting on August 22nd, the list of various Funds from which the Friends can select for their contribution will be available in an easier to find and recognize display. The system will also allow the users to switch back to the original interface if they prefer it. This enhancement was based on the great feedback we have received from the Friends. More information about this change will be coming soon.

Please join the Office of the Treasurer for a Community Town Hall with members of the National Spiritual Assembly: Dr. Robert C. Henderson (Treasurer), Dr. Rabi Ann Musah (Vice Chair), and Dr. David F. Young (Chairperson). This virtual town hall will provide the Friends with updates on the ongoing work of the Nine-Year Plan and the impact of Funds of the Faith on this work. The presentation will also address some of the common questions from previous webinars and provide an opportunity for the participants to ask additional questions. All are welcome!
Online Audit System Update
As we approach, in the coming days, the one-year anniversary of the launch of OAS, we extend our appreciation for your collaboration in its successful implementation. In preparation for the audit submission date of July 31, 2024, multiple OAS webinars were offered by the Office of the Treasurer. Each role-specific session focused on a unique function in the process of audit preparation and submission. These well-attended presentations consisted of a live tutorial followed by a Q&A segment. We look forward to continuing together along this path of the systemization of financial systems at the community level.

Planned Giving
If you are 70 1/2 or older, you may be interested in the IRA Charitable Rollover, which allows you to transfer a contribution from your IRA directly to the National Spiritual Assembly as a nontaxable event.
