Bahá’í National Fund Update

As of May 15th, $1.1M has been contributed towards the Bahá’í National Fund goal of $50M (For fiscal year 2024-25).

Unrestricted (not earmarked) contributions towards the National Fund goal allow for flexibility in supporting the many activities of the Faith. Universal Participation will be the key to achieving this victory.

We are pleased to share with you excerpts from the upcoming feast letter, announcing the establishment of the goal for the National Baha’i Fund and the steps which led to this pivotal decision. The full feast message will be distributed by the Office of the Secretariat for the Feast of Núr.

“The spirit of urgency conveyed in the Ridván message galvanized the delegates at the National Convention and was captured in what was perhaps the most oft-quoted sentence of the letter, “All must surge, but the youth must soar.”

With this spirit in our hearts, the National Spiritual Assembly invited the delegates to consult on the financial requirements of the Nine Year Plan and the National Fund goal for the coming year. The friends were reminded of the House of Justice’s emphasis on the importance of the Fund and its administration. In a letter addressed to a National Assembly, the Supreme Body stated that “…a great measure of the success of the Cause in the world depends on the ability of its institutions to put in place a system of financial administration that ensures efficiency, transparency, and accountability.”

Having received the collective wisdom of the delegates, the National Assembly prayerfully consulted during its May meeting on the requirements of the Plan and the current capacity of the Bahá’í community and decided to set a goal of fifty million dollars in unrestricted contributions for the coming year. Our hearts are full of admiration for your devotion, gratitude for your many sacrifices, and confidence in your growing capacity to advance the society-building mission of the Nine Year Plan.”

Youth Corner

We are so excited to have received this thoughtful letter from one of the youth for our newly established Youth Corner:

It is nice to see that there is a special space dedicated on the Bahá’í Fund Bulletin for people around my age. Turning 15 and thinking more deeply about what it means to be a Bahá’í has sparked my interest in understanding the spiritual and practical aspects of the Fund. I believe that in a way, the fund reflects our commitment to the betterment of humanity. I believe it also helps us develop our virtues of generosity and selflessness and it’s essential for the growth and development of our communities. I am excited about learning more about the Fund and about what other youth are learning about it. Thank you for creating the Youth Corner!
