Bahá’í National Fund Update
As the Friends are gathering for the Unit Convention in a couple of weeks, the Office of the Treasurer is pleased to share a special edition of the Bahá’í Fund Bulletin, highlighting some of the announcements and updates related to the Fund that will be shared at those gatherings.
Beyond the important responsibility of electing delegates, unit conventions offer a cherished opportunity to come together in consultation and reflect on the tasks and possibilities ahead. Below are just a few paragraphs from the letter written by the National Treasurer which will be shared at the Unit Convention:
“As you gather in your Unit Convention today to elect your delegate(s) to the National Convention and to consult on the priorities of the second phase of the Nine Year Plan, the National Spiritual Assembly invites you to reflect on the requirements of the Bahá’í Fund to ensure the successful execution of the Plan.
This summer we witnessed many activities across the country, particularly involving youth and junior youth offering services for extended periods of time. Various camps for youth, junior youth, and children were conducted, often engaging parents and other adults, all of which helped to galvanize the younger generation’s devotion to the Cause and service to their community. Through the work of the training institute, we are seeing the participation of many people in the society-building activities of the Plan in ever-greater measures and witnessing some crossing the threshold and declaring their belief in Bahá’u’lláh."

As Bahá’ís, we have the privilege of having a direct relationship with each of the senior funds of the Faith, while maintaining a direct focus on continually supporting the National Fund. Unrestricted (not earmarked) contributions towards the National Fund goal allow for flexibility in supporting the many activities of the Faith.

An update from the letter to the Unit Convention:
"The rebuilding of Bosch Bahá’í School, destroyed by a fire in 2020, is progressing well, and the residential cabins are nearly complete. The next phase is to overhaul the dining hall lodge with additional capacity and make several needed upgrades, including coming into compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. As announced before, $10M in additional funds need to be raised to complete the work."

A Gift That Gives Back: Charitable Gift Annuities
In previous issues of the Bahá’í Fund Bulletin, we explored several ways to support the Faith through gifts made during our lifetimes, including Donor-Advised Funds and appreciated securities.
Another meaningful way to give is through a Charitable Gift Annuity (CGA). A CGA is a simple arrangement through which you make a gift to support the Faith and, in return, receive fixed income payments for life.
