Bahá’í Naw-Rúz/Bahá (Splendour)-March 20, 2024

Unrestricted (not earmarked) contributions towards the National Fund goal allow for flexibility in supporting the many activities of the Faith.

The Office of the Treasurer greets you with hearts filled with love and gratitude and wishes you a joyous Naw-Rúz! As we welcome the new year focused on ‘making sacred our habits of thought, the orientation of our hearts, and the nobility of our behavior’ and as we renew our commitment to the Plan set in motion by the Universal House of Justice, “to raise up vibrant, outward looking communities,” we must also bear in mind that “He Who is the Eternal Truth—exalted be His glory— hath made the fulfillment of every undertaking on earth dependent on material means.” As of March 1, the current contributions toward the National Fund goal were at $36.3 million, leaving $11.7 million to reach the $48 million goal set to assist meeting the needs of the Plan as well as our Community’s domestic, continental, and international obligations.

Over the final weeks before Riḍván 2024, we invite all believers, young and old, to join a special universal participation campaign, “Champion Builders - The Time is Now”! As we were reminded in the last Feast letter “as American Bahá’ís—named by Shoghi Effendi as ‘champion-builders of the World Order of Bahá’u’lláh’—we alone can serve these institutions and provide the material resources necessary to carry on such vital and necessary work.” We invite you to join this campaign - through your prayers, acts of service, and/or sacrificial contributions, together we can arise to meet the goal!

Every week, we will share updates on how the Campaign is progressing. To see these updates and information on upcoming events, please visit our website at https://bahaitreasurer.us/ . You can also sign up for texts by simply texting the message, “bahaifund” To: (224) 414-3863 to receive fund updates and more!

Young Adult Weekend

Arising to the call of the Nine Year Plan, and in the spirit of making ‘sacred our habits’, a team of young adults from across the country gathered over 100 youth in Creston, California from February 16th to 19th for the ninth Young Adult Weekend, coming together in radiant joy and fellowship with the love of Bahá’u’lláh in their hearts to learn about material and spiritual excellence. The program included inspiring and practical sessions with emphases on teaching the Faith, racial justice, the avoidance of backbiting and fault finding, and living up to Bahá’í ideals. The event was characterized by an outstanding devotional spirit with ample music to serve as a ladder for the soul. There are stories of attendees returning to their communities and elevating individual patterns of life and arising to engage in the teaching work. One of the goals of these young adult weekend gatherings is to help youth and young adults with their efforts to fortify their Baha’i identity, which includes their relationship to the Institution of the Fund. The Office of the Treasurer looks forward to partnership with the organizers in order to continue to build relationships and to provide resources and materials to assist with this goal and to connect the hearts of the youth with the Funds of the Faith.

The Office of the Treasurer of the Bahá’ís of the United States joyfully invites you to a virtual National Fundraiser as part of the "Champion Builders - The Time is Now" Campaign. Please join the Secretary and the Treasurer of the National Spiritual Assembly to review our current progress and provide insights on the plans for the coming year.
