The Office of the Treasurer is excited to bring you an update on the universal participation campaign, “Champion Builders - The Time is Now.” As a part of this campaign, a webinar was held on March 30th, during which both the Secretary and the Treasurer of the National Spiritual Assembly addressed the Friends on the progress of the Nine-Year Plan. Several communities gathered together to participate as a community and/or hold their own local fundraising events in connection with this webinar. We estimate that, in total, there were over 700 Friends from all around the country participating in this special event. We have received great feedback regarding the evening thus far, including: 

“Loving encouragement… inspiring everyone to participate in this critical time to “help us change the world” by making a plan, praying for that plan and acting on that plan!”

“The contrast between the Divine and the contingent world in fund raising is so noticeable.”

“I find great value in the live webinars and hearing directly from the treasurer and other members how the fund contributes to the growth of the faith. By taking part, I feel connected and am honored.”

We hope to also share some of the questions and responses from this webinar on our website and the next Bahá’í Fund Bulletin.

Over the final weeks before Riḍván 2024, we invite all believers, young and old, to join the Champion Builders Campaign through your prayers, acts of service, planning special fundraisers, and/or sacrificial contributions. Together we can arise to meet the goal! $7.8 million remains to reach the $48 million goal set to assist in meeting the needs of the Plan as well as our Community’s domestic, continental, and international obligations. Let us renew our commitment to the Plan set in motion by the Universal House of Justice, “to raise up vibrant, outward looking communities.” We must also bear in mind that “He Who is the Eternal Truth—exalted be His glory— hath made the fulfillment of every undertaking on earth dependent on material means.”

Our hearts were greatly touched by the following story that we received from one of the friends after our last town hall webinar:

“Dearly Loved Ones, I offer this in Honor and Memory of my sweet husband of 52 years, …. We served the Cause side by side accompanying each other. He passed just after we received the Universal House of Justice Dec 30 2021 message about the Nine Year Plan. The morning of his passing he had printed out the letter and put it on the arm of his chair saying tonight we will study this together. So excited was he about the Nine-Year Plan. I am certain he is using his powers from the realm above to advance the Plan. I know he will be with us at the Town Hall meeting. I give this donation in his honor as the money is directly linked to my selling of some of his earthly possessions. He was a long-standing servant in this world and I am certain his service continues. Prayerfully submitted”

Would you like to contribute to the Fund, get an immediate tax deduction, and grow your contribution tax-free?
